Dootson has a Pay-as-You-Go system. Students take as many or as few lessons as needed to complete their training. The student and his/her instructor will decide when they are ready to take their California Commercial Class A road test. The lessons are $48.00 each (1/2 hour of instruction). The cost of the course for the average student is approximately $900.00.

Students wishing to save money can buy a discounted block of lessons. The School recommends that before buying a block, students take one or two lessons to make sure that learning to drive a truck is truly something they wish to do.

The School also offers complete courses. The School recommends that anyone interested in attending our School give us a call so we can explain the complete range of services the School offers.

Fleet Safety courses are also offered. These are customized courses based on the needs of the Company or Agency seeking training. Interested parties may contact the School to discuss their needs. A customized course will be layed out and a price quote will be given at that time.
